Kneed Privacy Policy

Kneed is a personal tracking service. This policy explains the information Kneed processes and the choices available to you.

Information we process

• Account information, including your email address, display name, sign-in provider identifier, and account security tokens.
• Information you enter, including the body areas and goals you choose, how each area feels, pain ratings, daily items and their amounts, programs, exercises, workouts, and notes.
• Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) information you explicitly allow Kneed to read and sync, such as sleep, workouts, steps, and walking metrics. Kneed only reads the data types you authorize, only for the date range you choose, and never writes back to either service.
• Purchase records needed to verify and restore your one-time purchase. Kneed does not receive your full payment-card details.
• Technical security records needed to authenticate requests, prevent abuse, and operate the optional MCP connector.

How information is used

We use this information to provide synchronization, tracking, exports, reminders, purchase verification, account support, security, and features you request. We do not sell personal information, serve targeted ads, or use Apple Health or Health Connect data for advertising or marketing. We do not share Apple Health or Health Connect data with third parties, except with an AI assistant you explicitly authorize through the MCP connector or in an export you choose to share.

Sharing and integrations

Apple and Google process information when you use their sign-in or purchase services. Apple Health and Health Connect data are accessed only after your permission. If you authorize an AI assistant through the MCP connector or share an export, that provider receives the information you choose to make available and its own privacy policy applies.

Retention and deletion

Your data is retained while your account exists. In Kneed Settings you can reset your data or permanently delete your account and associated data. You can also revoke Apple Health permission in iOS Settings, revoke Health Connect permissions in the Health Connect app on Android, and revoke an AI connector from the connected service. Revoking permission stops further syncing; data already synced is removed when you reset your data or delete your account.

Security

Kneed uses encrypted network transport in production, access controls, short-lived authorization credentials, and platform-protected storage for app tokens. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Kneed is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the service if local law requires parental consent that has not been obtained.

Changes

We may update this policy as Kneed changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
